Privacy Policy

Registration: to create an account, you provide data including your name, e-mail and password. Optionally, you may add a photo, educational institution, study goal (admission exams, civil service exams, bar exam) and other profile information.

Content: we collect personal data you post or upload to the Services, such as feed posts, comments, articles, contributions to groups and communities, notes, flashcard decks, and answers to mock exams and daily challenges.

We log your visits and use of our Services, including the applications. This includes: pages viewed, clicks, searches, study time, progress in learning paths and plans, mock exam and flashcard results, XP and streaks in daily challenges, participation in groups and communities, social interactions (likes, comments, follows) and notifications. We use logins, cookies, device information and IP addresses to identify you or log your use.

We use cookies and similar technologies to collect data and recognize you and/or your devices as you interact with our Services, as described in detail in our Cookie Policy.

Other users may post content that includes information about you (for example, @mentions in the feed). If you use social login features (for example, sign in with Google), we receive the basic data you authorized from the provider (name and e-mail). Institutions (prep courses, schools and organizations) that use Platonis business services may provide us with data about their students and members.

• Authenticate your access and keep your session secure;
• Generate and adjust your study plan, learning paths and priorities;
• Calculate your progress, XP, streaks and ranking position;
• Suggest learning paths, flashcards, questions, mock exams and daily challenges;
• Operate groups, communities, the feed, @mentions, articles and messages;
• Enable the AI assistant to summarize content, generate questions and reorganize your routine.

We will contact you by e-mail, on-site or in-app notifications and other channels available through the Services, including messages about availability, security and service-related matters, study reminders, network updates and news. You can adjust communication preferences at any time; essential service, security and legal messages cannot be turned off.

We use data, including feedback, to conduct research and develop our Services to offer a better, more intuitive and personalized experience. We also use your data to develop and train artificial intelligence models that power features such as question generation, adaptive mock exams and study recommendations.

We may use your data for security purposes and to prevent and investigate fraud, misuse of the Services or violations of the User Agreement and the law.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases, under Article 7 of the LGPD:

• Performance of a contract: to provide the platform’s essential features (account, study plan, flashcards, mock exams, groups) — Art. 7, V;
• Consent: for marketing communications, non-essential cookies and optional features — Art. 7, I;
• Legitimate interest: to improve the Services, prevent fraud and ensure platform security, always within your reasonable expectations — Art. 7, IX;
• Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations: when the law requires it (for example, a court order) — Art. 7, II;
• Regular exercise of rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings — Art. 7, VI.

According to your privacy settings, your profile and the content you post may be visible to other users: feed posts may be publicly visible; posts in groups and communities are visible to members according to the group’s visibility; when you follow someone, you are visible to them as a follower; when you like, comment on or share content, those interactions are associated with your account.

We hire third parties to help us provide the Services (for example: cloud hosting, e-mail delivery, payment processing, error analytics and customer support). They have access only to the information needed to perform tasks on our behalf and are contractually required not to disclose or use it for other purposes.

If you join an organization (prep course, school or company) that uses Platonis business services, that organization may administer your access and view information about your use of the services it provides (for example, progress in the institution’s learning paths). We do not share your personal searches or private messages with the organization.

We may share your data when required by law, court order or competent authority, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of Platonis, our users and third parties.

Some of our service providers are located outside Brazil. When this occurs, we adopt the safeguards set forth in the LGPD (for example, standard contractual clauses), ensuring an adequate level of protection for your data.

The Services are intended for people at least 16 years old. For users under 18, use of Platonis must occur with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, who may request information and exercise data subject rights on behalf of the minor.

We may modify this Privacy Policy. In case of substantial changes, you will receive notice through the Services or by other means so you can review the changes before they take effect. Your rights over data already collected are not reduced retroactively without legal basis.
