User Agreement

By creating a Platonis account or accessing and using our Services, you agree to enter into a legally binding contract with Platonis (“Agreement” or “User Agreement”). If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not create an account, and do not access or otherwise use our Services. If you wish, you may terminate this Agreement at any time by closing your account and ceasing to access or use our Services.

If you are a Visitor or User of our Services, any collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, as well as updates to those documents.

This Agreement applies to the platonis.com.br website, applications under the Platonis brand and other websites, applications, communications and services related to Platonis that state they are offered under this Agreement (“Services”). This includes features such as: personalized study plans, goal-based learning paths, spaced-repetition flashcards, AI-generated mock exams, a bank of questions from real exams, study groups and communities, articles, a social feed, rankings and daily challenges, and the AI study assistant.

By registering for the Platonis Services, you become a “User”. If you choose not to register, you may access certain public resources — such as exam pages, communities and informational articles — as a “Visitor”.

We may change this Agreement, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy at any time. If we make significant changes to these terms, we will notify you through our Services or by other means so that you can review the changes before they take effect. Such changes cannot be retroactive. If you do not agree to any of them, you may close your account. If you continue to use our Services after we publish or send notice of the changes, you agree to the updated terms as of their effective date.

To use the Services, you agree that: (1) you are at least 16 years old — or the higher age the law requires for Platonis to lawfully provide the Services without your parents’ or guardians’ consent; (2) you will have only one account, created with your real information; and (3) there are no legal restrictions on your use of the Services. Creating an account with false information violates our terms, including accounts registered on behalf of third parties or people under 16.

If you are under 18, use Platonis with the knowledge and consent of your parents or guardians, who must also agree to this Agreement.

You will keep your password confidential. You will not share your account with anyone else and will comply with our policies and the law.

You own your account. You agree to: (1) protect your account against unauthorized access (for example, by using a strong password and keeping it confidential); (2) not share or transfer your account or any part of it; and (3) respect the law and our list of “What is allowed and prohibited on Platonis” (Section 4). You are responsible for everything that happens on your account, unless you close it or report misuse.

If you purchase any paid Platonis service (for example, subscription plans), you agree to pay the applicable fees and taxes when due. Failure to pay may result in cancellation of the paid services.

1. If you purchase a subscription, the fees for the period will be charged automatically to your payment method at the start of each period. To avoid future charges, cancel before the renewal date.
2. We may modify our prices prospectively, with reasonable prior notice and to the extent permitted by law.
3. Under Brazilian Consumer Protection law, you may withdraw from the purchase within 7 (seven) days of contracting and receive a full refund of the amounts paid.

You agree to receive notices and messages through our websites, applications and other contact channels (for example, e-mail and push notifications), including notices about security, changes to terms, study reminders and social notifications. You can adjust communication preferences in your account settings; essential service and security messages cannot be turned off. If your contact information is out of date, you may miss these important notices.

When you share information through our Services — in feed posts, groups, communities, articles or comments — others may see, copy and use that information, according to the visibility you choose (for example, public or group members only). We will respect the visibility options you choose. To the extent the law allows, we are not obliged to publish content on our Services and may remove it with or without prior notice.

As between you and Platonis, you own the original content you submit or post to the Services (for example: feed posts, comments, articles, contributions to groups and communities, notes, flashcard decks and messages).

You grant Platonis a non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable and sublicensable license to use, copy, modify, distribute, publish, process, host and publicly display your content and other information you provide to our Services, without additional consent, notice or compensation to you or third parties. This license is technically necessary to operate the Services (for example, to store, display, render, index for internal search and enable sharing). These rights are limited as follows:

1. You may terminate this license for specific content by deleting it from the Services or, generally, by closing your account, except where the content has been shared with third parties who copied or stored it, we are legally required to retain it, or during the reasonable period needed to remove it from our backup systems.
2. We will not include your content in advertisements for third-party products and services without your explicit consent.
3. We will respect the visibility options for shared content (for example, content restricted to group members).
4. Although we may edit and change the formatting of your content (such as translating it, changing its size, layout or file type, and removing metadata), we will not substantially change the meaning of your expression.

You agree to provide us only content and information you have rights to, and you warrant that the information on your account is true. You agree that you will only provide content that does not violate the law or the rights of third parties (including intellectual property rights). If the content includes personal data, it is subject to our Privacy Policy.

By sending Platonis suggestions or comments about our Services, you agree that Platonis may use and share (although it is not obliged to) such comments for any purpose, without any compensation to you.

You agree that you will:

1. Comply with all applicable laws, including privacy laws (such as the Brazilian LGPD), intellectual property laws and anti-spam laws;
2. Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date;
3. Use your real information on your account; and
4. Contribute collaboratively and respectfully in communities, groups and the feed.

You agree that you will not:

1. Create a false identity on Platonis, post inaccurate information, create an account for someone who is not you, or use another person’s account;
2. Develop or use programs, scripts, bots, scrapers or any other means to extract or copy the Services, including exam questions, flashcard decks or other users’ data;
3. Bypass security features or circumvent access controls or usage limits of the Services;
4. Disclose, sell or share answer keys and exam questions protected by confidentiality or third-party rights, or infringe copyrights, patents, trademarks or trade secrets;
5. Post content containing software viruses or any other harmful code, or reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Services;
6. Imply that you are affiliated with or endorsed by Platonis without our express consent;
7. Rent, lease, lend, trade, sell/resell or otherwise monetize the Services or related data, or resell access to mock exams, learning paths or premium features without consent;
8. Use bots or unauthorized automated methods to access the Services, generate artificial engagement, answer mock exams or manipulate rankings and challenges;
9. Harass, discriminate against, threaten, expose other users’ personal data, send spam or post illegal, deceptive, offensive or inappropriate content for minors;
10. Interfere with the operation of the Services or overload their systems (for example, denial-of-service attacks, spam, manipulation algorithms); and/or
11. Use our Services for any illegal, fraudulent or dishonest act, including fraud in admission processes, document forgery or real-time cheating on official exams.

We ask that you report content that violates these terms or the law through the reporting channels available on the platform (for example, the “report” button on posts and comments). To the extent possible and as permitted by law, we will remove or restrict access to content or accounts that violate them, and we reserve the right to take action against serious violations, including account restrictions or termination.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any of our Services, and limit the availability of features, content and information. We do not commit to storing or displaying (or continuing to display) information you share: Platonis is not a storage service. Except as required by applicable law and as indicated in our Privacy Policy, we have no obligation to store, maintain or provide you with copies of content or other information.

When using our Services, you may encounter content or other information — including real exams, questions, summaries and posts by other users or institutions — that may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misleading. You agree that we are not responsible for content provided by third parties, including other Users. Third parties may offer their own products and services through our Services (for example, prep courses and schools with pages on Platonis), and we are not responsible for such activities.

Platonis reserves the right to limit your use of the Services, and to restrict, suspend or terminate your account if you violate this Agreement or the law, or misuse the Services. We may also remove any content you have shared if we believe it violates this Agreement.

Platonis reserves all intellectual property rights in the Services, including software, design, trademarks, logos, the organized question bank, learning paths, plans and proprietary materials. Trademarks and logos of third parties used in connection with the Services are the marks of their respective owners. You agree not to copy, distribute, sublicense or commercially exploit these materials without authorization.

PLATONIS MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES ABOUT THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY STATEMENT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, AND PROVIDES THE SERVICES (INCLUDING CONTENT, RESULTS AND INFORMATION) “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLATONIS DISCLAIMS ALL LEGAL AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF TITLE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

If you intend to use content, results and information for any purpose, it is your responsibility to verify their accuracy and suitability, since any content on the Services may not reflect accurate, complete or up-to-date information.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLATONIS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE, IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT, FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR OPPORTUNITIES, REPUTATION, LOSS OF DATA, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Platonis’ total liability to you in connection with this Agreement is limited, where applicable, to the total fees you paid to Platonis for the Services during the term of this Agreement. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for personal injury, fraud, gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
